Default Leaders and lines

65 braid flipping and frogging. (used to use 50, but got tired of breaking
off)

14 mono deep cranking and large poppers

12 mono regular cranking and popping

10 mono small cranking and popping usually on spinning tackle

17 mono buzzbait

6-10 flouro finnesse pretty much always on spinning tackle

12 flouro everyday 5" senko

14 mono medium blade

10-12 mono small blade

For each application I use the strongest line that does not kill the action
of the bait and is still castable. Its like hooks for plastics. Always use
the biggest hook that does not kill the action of the bait. Each rod also
is suited to the application.

I never use leaders, but I do spool braid on spliced with a back to back
uniknot to a dozen feet or so of 25-30 lb mono backing. The mono will not
slip on the spool with an arbor knot.

Hopefully one of the other regulars will pipe up and argue with me so you
can get some idea why for each application.
