Sounds like my kind of place.

I will check out the resorts - At this point in life I would have to
go w my wife but she can find plenty to do when I fish
and anyway she is my best friend.

Did you book this trip yourself or theu a fly fishingg adventure
company?

we did it ourselves... the place we rented was a duplex owned by a local
bahamian, jackie bain, the daughter of ms. rosalita davis. there is an
inclusive trip thru the hungry trout flyshop in new york that uses the
emerald palms resort on south andros. you can also rent jerry b.'s
house

car and a willingness to forage the odd little stores for available
groceries. don't buy the "lamb." it's not a tourist destination, but
the northern islands may be different.
