Default what is a good jacket

I have a LL Bean that I think the world of. It is breathable, has a mesh
lining, two large pockets for fly boxes, and is very durable. I Have used
it in heavy rains in Oregon, and came through dry as can be.
The zipper started to stick on my original jacket, and they replaced it with
no questions asked. It sells for about $100.

I recommend jackets for SKI .
They change their models season by season.
You can get bargain-basement prices on clearance items.
Old fashion ski wear : 1 year or 2 year before
model is sold very cheap & perfect about
waterproof & cold protection .
Even old fashion model is made of
breathable cloth : Gore-Tex or so.

I am looking for a jacket to wear over my waders when steelhead fishing
on the feather (especially during the rain). What are people's
recommendations? (I am not going to buy a simms or orvis).

Cabella has a jacket for $45 (not breathable)
Pacific fly group has the ultimate rain jacket which a dealer friend can
get me for about $90 (I think) made of Hipora which is breathable
