From my experience in September two years ago... stay outta the park if
you are trying to hurry anywhere... very crowded and very slow moving
everywhere I saw on the western side... I've gotta believe it was as bad
in the more popular entrances to the east.

have you checked flights to idaho falls?

When I lived in Austin a few years ago and knew a guy that traveled a good bit
and Charlie always said that if you were in Austin and had to go straight to
hell, you had to change planes at D/FW.

As I remember the drive from Jackson to Clave Central area thru Idaho was
further in miles but shorter time than going thru the park when you consider
all the stops for buffalo. That drive takes longer in August, or at least it
did a couple of years ago. That also might depend on which roads in the park
have the most construction this summer. I suspect Warren will have better
information on that in a few months.
