Default clavemeisters reply to Roger's questions

Roger(and first off, thanks for planning to become the farthest traveller ever
to the Penn's Creek diving club meet!!)

What are the waters that we fish? Small creek(s)? Big river?

Both are possible. Penn's itself is large,
up to 150 feet across in spots. All others are smaller, down to jump-across
trickles.

Any special flies that are a must?

not really, although you will be receiving
a few that may helpg.

Do I bring my own deck of cards or will you bring your marked ones? ;-)

answer should be obvious...just bring your
money.

Do I need to shop for food in advance or is there a place nearby that I can
get what I need?

there are grocery stores for most items save the unique gourmet things.

Do you plan dinner in groups or each and everyone to himself?

you will be housed, I believe, with a group that does to some extent plan
meals. Some of us fish most of the night, and grab either pizza, or whatever
the organized folks have left over.....

Whats lobster night? An excuse to get drunk?

well...yes. It is a group dinner at an overly elegantly named Millheim Hotel,
who serves Lobster Dinners en masse every other Thursday.

What will the climate be like?

I have been fishing the area every May for
15 or 16 years. I have seen everything from 85 degree(farenheit) days to snow
and sleet. Allow for layers of clothing.

Lou, is it OK if I accept your offer on a sleeping bag and mattress?

this is between you, and Lou....

I have a four piece rod Sage 490-4LL, will that cover my needs or do I bring
a heavier classed rod?

a 4 weight should do you ok. I do use a heavier rod(5/6 weight) for Penns. Some
the fish can get large, and Penn's trout are
very angry fighters.

What will we be fishing for?

Brown Trout and Inner Peace.

hope this helps
