To a moral certainty. And yet........

Michigan's fishing regulations state explicitly (or did, the last time I
looked.....maybe a year or two ago) that a grayling caught anywhere in the
state must be released unharmed immediately. I don't remember when,
exactly, but Michigan made a belated effort to protect and an even later
effort to reestablish, grayling in their native waters within the state.
There are occasional rumors.....
