I don't want Dave's apologies. They may be numerous, but
they aren't sincere, and their sincerity seems to decrease with each
repetition.

Although I'm guilty as hell on the OT Politics charge, I've made every
attempt to avoid discussing specific people or personalities. I'm not an
insult kind of guy, and for the most part, my friends don't need my
character reference. I'm gonna break my own rule here.

You've been doing that a LOT lately. ;-) I'm glad you did.

It is clear to me that Dave & I disagree on what's wrong with this country
and what to do about it. It's also clear to me that both of our opinions
are based on a love of what we individually perceive to be what's right
about it. I've met Dave on more than one occasion, fished with him, dined
with him, and talked with him. I've left my children alone with him, which
is more than I'd allow for most of the reprobates here. Among the things
about which I have little doubt is Dave's character and sincerity.

The way I see it ( %-b~ ), Dave realizes his fault and wishes he had never
written the personal insults. Isn't it better that he recognize this after the
fact than not at all? I think so - good on ya, Dave. I've posted stuff here I
wish I hadn't and have (hopefully) had my apology accepted. Should I screw up
again, realize my bad and apologize, I would hope I could be forgiven again.

To Dave - Place this note on your keyboard: Read three times, the third time
after ten minutes, then choose send or cancel. ;-)
To both Dave and Wayno - get yer asses back in gear and post away!
