The flatworms that send the virus emails (and spammers, as well) use robot
type software that scans all posts to newsgroups for return email addresses.
To dodge this, don't use your actual email address in your news client
Properties.
This email address string is in the header area of all your postings. You
can alter your email address string by putting something like DELETE-THIS
within your email address. If someone wants to email you something and they
manually see that bogus character string in your address, they know
to remove it. The automated gadgets don't.
