Default Dates for possible Driftless zone (MN,WI) Clave

I'll arrive in the Twin Cities on 7/17 and be departing on 7/26. Any time
between 7/18 and 7/23 would be a good time for me.

I consulted my calendar. Not surprisingly, it says everything beyond about
3:00 o'clock this afternoon is "Tempora Incognita". Barring an
unanticipated emergency call from the White House or yet another plumbing
disaster (ah, the charm of old houses!), I should be free anywhere within
that time slot.

Unless you're interested in wandering about more or less aimlessly looking
for fish, my role in planning the itinerary should be limited to nodding
assent. I know that both the Rush and the Kinnickinnic (yep, it's
pronounced just the way it's spelled) enjoy excellent reputations, and I
managed to get skunked on both the Kinnickinnic and the Willow one fine day
a few years ago, but that's about the extent of my experience and knowledge
of WI streams in the immediate area. I've always suspected (for no good
reason) that the St. Croix must be good for smallmouth. I know virtually
nothing about MN streams.
