Went shad fishing this morning.
Fished 2 hours.
Caught 12.
Fishing buddy caught over 30 and quit counting.
He was using new Orvis sink tip 8 wt. line.
I switched to my 9 wt. floating line with sink tip (from Depth Charge) but
the tip was still too heavy.
Thin strata with fish.
6 inches under 'em
6 inches over 'em
nadda.
Going back tomorrow (SATURDAY MORNING the 10th)
taking 6 wt. with sink tip
expect to come off the river around 9:30 AM too tired of catching shad.
