Should ya buy vests a size bigger than you would a jacket or shirt? I was
out Steelheading on the Silver River in Michigan's Western UP the other

and was wearing a T shirt, heavy flannel shirt, waders and had my vest on
over all that and it was a bit snug.

Well, it should fit alright when you already have all the other gear that
you are going to wear on, otherwise it will restrict you considerably. I
don´t like vests much, for this reason. I tend to wear jackets for most of
my fishing. Especially when it is cold, and I am wading etc, then I use a
short wading jacket, ( which only has a couple of small pockets), over my
breathables, and carry a chest harness pack with a rear pocket, for my gear.
A vest full of stuff, whether it fits or nor, tends to be restrictive
anyway. and will not usually keep you very warm either.
