I am sorry you had a bad experience with your local Chevrolet dealership.
But the 1500 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra Pickup has been rated the #1 Tow
vehicle for the past ten years by consumers. Followed by the Ford F150,
then the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Explorer, Ford Nav,
Toyota Tundra, . . . .

People are very passionate about their vehicles, as they are about their
boats. Their opinions are biased as to what they own. But to suddenly
start going through brakes can simply be the fault of poor workmanship
and/or poor materials used by your local dealer, or even yourself. If you
are towing up and down steep terrain with a heavy boat on a trailer that
doesn't have a braking system, or you are riding the brakes, or the traffic
pattern has changed and you are now making more sudden stops. But I
personally believe it is probably poor materials being used by the dealer to
increase their profits.
