Default Aroma Thearpy

Spent Saturday on the Deschutes, lots of wild flowers out. Big daisy looking
things and the usual bottle brush things. I didn't have the camera so no
pictues this time, I'll get some next time, I'm sure we have a few flower
experts here. Sagebrush I know and I love the smell. The sun was out an
it was in the 70s with a gentle up canyon breeze. If your setting on a
rock in the sun overpowered with the smell of sage and flowers alls OK.
I even setteled for three redsides about 14" long. Not bad since I got
there late and left early. I was using a size 18 Pheasant tale nymph as in
the middle of the day the are deep and dining on black fly larva and such.
I may have to give in and start using a strike indicator, two of the fish
more or less hooked themselves.
Speaking of Orvis - every year they have the add where you can get 8 nymphs
for $9 or what ever and the $ 10 dollar gift certificate. I got the three
in on tweezer set a while back. The twezers are useless but the fly
threaders are pretty handy. I'm going to put them on a lanyard and use them
to carry 6 or 8 flys each.
