we weren't in the sound...out in the ocean off shackleford banks and
cape lookout. ...but it's those thru hull heads that are illegal.

foot bay boat sloshing in some sizeable swells, while foolish, impolite
in company, and lacking in respect for any ecosystem, isn't regulated as
far as i know. well, unless you do it intentionally in view of a crowd,
i guess. the bluefish didn't seem to mind though.

i've mentioned it. i thought he might accompany wayno. joe and i are
heading up on the 12th...should be there by mid-day. we will be leaving
from there on the 14th for penns. he could get a ride with us up to
g'boro or morganton, but would need a ride back. i doubt he's arranged

moved on, but the blues were hungry. jim engaged in an interesting
"chumming" method while trolling. seems it requires country ham, eggs,
grits, etc. ... i think a lacourse breakfast could be invaluable in the
development of this particular form of chumming, if you get my drift.
hooked 3 blues while jim was "spreading" chum.
