Orvis Wonderline Sale - anybody use these lines?
Chris:
I use them, and have a lot of them - depth charge lines, streamer strippers,
spring creek, just about everything but the intermediate lines. I can't say
whether they are better or worse than Courtland, Rio, etc, but they perform
well for me. Not too much memory and fairly slick (I don't clean them often
either). Probably me favorite is the Spring Creek WF. I am not sure what the
difference is between a standard WF and the Spring Creek, but it sure casts
nicely. The other favorite line is the Streamer Stripper. It has just 4 ft
of high density sink tip, as I recall. That's not much, but it sure helps
get the fly down quickly to where the action (sometimes) is. I didn't know
about the sale, but I'll probably take advantage of it.

Treat yourself to a couple new fly lines this month. If you've never used
Wonderline Advantage, they are the slickest, best-casting lines in the
world-and tests at an independent lab have proved it. Maybe you need new
floating lines for your 3-weight and 5-weight rods. Or perhaps you've
always
wanted to try a Double Taper or Easy Mend taper on your favorite rod, to
see
if you can get more delicacy or better mends on long, tricky casts.
Perhaps
you want to add a fast-sinking Depth Charge and a Clear Tip to your
striper
arsenal, for situations when your plain vanilla floating line just won't
do
the job. For the month of May only, pick any two Wonderlines (any taper,
any
size) for only $95 and save up to $63!

Any experience with these lines?
