The same kind of thing happened at the San Juan this last winter. The
first
day I couldn't seem to land anything, but after that I seemed to get the
hang of the larger, hotter fish. The little native rainbows and goldens
don't require such delicate technique to land.

I had a real blast fishing with Willi and Charlie. I'm definitely going
back
someday.

Nope, bit I did wander aimlessly with a rod in my hand

Did you guys fish the Thompson? How'd you do?

It was craptabulous- very windy and the fish were moody. We hooked a
couple.
