BTW, here is the first hit I got from concealed weapons permits=20

That is far more restrictive than what we do for driver's licenses.
So you are saying that "far more" people qualify for a drivers license
than a gun permit based on those criteria? Maybe in Montana, I
suppose. g
I have no idea how many qualify for a driver's license or a=20
concealed weapons permit. I was merely stating that there is a=20
criteria used in determining if someone is allowed to get a=20
concealed weapons permit. All they do for driver's licenses AFAIK=20
is check that you aren't suspended/revoked in the state or from any=20
other state. When I moved out here, I went in and got a license=20
after showing them my previous license. I didn't have to take tests=20
of any kind and they only verified that I was not suspended or=20
revoked. They took my picture, a thumb print and sent me on my way=20
with a license. The process to get a concealed weapons permit is=20
more rigorous, as it should be, and they use criteria similar to=20
that of South Dakota.
Or are you insinuating that Georgia gives felons, violent criminals,=20
fugitives, etc concealed weapons permits and nobody driver's=20
licenses? g
