snakefiddler- how do ya like me now? ;-)
just fine, girl.
i did the same sort of thing with worms on a little creek in rowan county
called "little dutch buffalo creek", in about 1949. its headwaters are born
in a pond in a place called "gold hill", north carolina. my first fish was
a catfish, wrenched from that murky little stream, all slick and full of
horns. but the connection between the fish and my hands, through the line
and rod, was a thrill then, and is a thrill now. you just keep on trying to
catch fish. someone will come along and teach you how to catch them in
other ways. those ways may or may not be more fun.
