If you do start flyfishing, don't fish close to anyone else without
permission. It takes space. Even other kinds of fishermen are often
fussy about space.
Releasing a fish requires that you handle it with wet hands and that
you slide it gently back into the stream, not entirely releasing it
until it's ready to take off on its own.
Maybe you did all that that way, but it's better to say it properly,
too, around here.
Otherwise, you did fine and I'll bet it was a really fun day.

thank you for the tips minnow goddess. the proper way to release the fish,
i did not know, however, i did make sure to put space between myself and the
kind gentlemen from florida, prior to being "invited in." not really
anything i knew directly related to fishing, but just a personal space kinda
thing.
