Fly line recommentials
If the rod seems slow, then you normally need a lighter line, not a
heavier
one. Try a #5 DT, and use progressively more line until you find the
"sweet
spot". This should be somewher about 60 feet of line. If the rod still
feels slow, go down a line size, and try again. Many people have problems
trying to cast slow rods, even with the right weight. Completely different
timing and power application is required.
Thanks Hans and Mike, That DT line I was not considering at all.
Have to test it. We have tested this Vision Extreme Distance #5 line
with my son's Loop Blueline #5 rod and it seems to work better obviously
because this rod has faster action.
