Funniest 'road moment' I ever saw was in Eastern Maine about a dozen or 15
years ago. Coming around a big bend in the road, there was a station wagon
with NY plates parked in the pulloff on the side of the road. Another few
dozen yards later, my clients and I saw a great big old black bear and a cub
ambling across the road to the inside of the corner. Another 50 yards or so
around the corner was a family of NewYorkers at a picnic table having lunch,
food spread out everywhere...

My clients wanted ever so much to stop and watch the next 10 minutes' show,
but we were late for put-in. I still can imagine the tales that family still
is telling.
