Day three. As if we hadn't done enough climbing we headed up to Lochan

Sounds like a lot of fun. I enjoy TRs from "exotic" places, i.e., ones
I'm unlikely ever to visit.

I've noticed over the years that UK anglers seem most often to refer to
fish size in terms of weight, as opposed to us Yanks, who generally talk
inches. I can estimate length reasonably well, aided by some ready
references (tip of thumb to tip of outstretched pinkie, rod butt to hook
keeper, rod butt to bottom of Sage logo, etc.), but I'm real bad at
guesstimating weights. To the quarter pound is well beyond my powers.
Do you just guess, based on experience, or do you carry scales?
