Default Wader Repair

I have a pair of Orvis Silver Label light weight waders. I ned to
repair a leak. In a repair Pkg there are 2 different patching
materials. One is olive colored, the oter is grey. I assume that one
goes on the "boot" and one goes on the "uppers". Which is which? The
grey patch is only a 1/10 the size of the olive patch. Can someone
help?? Is it possible one type goes inside and the other goes
outside??

You shouldn't need either of them if it's just a simple leak instead of a
tear. Get some Aquaseal and make sure that the spot with the leak is
clearly marked and clean. Use a popsicle stick or similar implement and
rub a small amount (like a drop the size of your littlest fingernail) on
the spot. Make sure to work the adhesive into the fabric. Otherwise
surface tension of the glue will prevent it from permeating the wader
fabric's outermost layer. If that happens water will seep underneath the
adhesive and still make it through the leak.

I have the Orvis waders you have. If it is a tear, you should only need
one piece of repair material - on the outside. Make sure to work the glue
all the way to the edges of the patch. You can use another piece of
fabric on the inside to prevent the glue from sealing the waders shut.
But a large piece of tape should be suficients for the job as well.
