Default press release

I was impressed with the VW Toureg write up in a recent issue of Trailer
Boating magazine. I mean its a dinky SUV, but they tested it with a 6600lb
boat and trailer. Wow. Thats a lot more than I would have tried to put
behind it. Of course the gas milage sucked when towing at aroung 9 MPG.

The neatest thing about it was the automatic self leveling suspension.
Didn't Porsche do that with the 959 all wheel drive back in 1983?

Okay, so this is off topic, but lets say i wanted to pull my bass boat
with this....has anyone heard much about this?

I know it's based on the Romanian Auto design --- I've never thought of
Romania when it comes to SUV's, but hey, maybe they know something...

A diesel is interesting -- but this thing looks like an old land rover?

Anyone?

I went to the site. It's an interesting looking little bugger, but I'm

disappointed in the specs.
A couple hundred horsepower/torque? That's it??? And all it gets for

mileage is 17/22? My truck
has 300 hp, 524 lbft torque and I'm getting the same mileage! I'd have to

drive one before totally
writing it off, but I'm getting the same mileage, have more room, can tow

6 tons or carry a 3/4 ton
load.

If you're looking for an small to mid-sized SUV with similar mileage, look

at the Chevy Trailblazer.
A friend of mine bought one, gets BETTER mileage and it's rated to tow

heavier loads. He got his at
a price just slightly higher than what the press release says.
