A quick report on the Yellowstone area.
It's been generally rainy, cloudy, and favorable since I got here
almost two weeks ago. Had snow on the ground in camp at noon a couple
days ago.
Rivers in the Park are running higher than this same time last year (
a good thing ). Although some of the local knowledge people say they
expect everything ( hatches ) to be ahead of "normal" this year, MY
view is that it's pretty close to the "published norm," so far.
I've been getting good fishing (for me that means I catch one every
once in a while), although I'm sure all of you would catch more than
myself. I've really only fished the Firehole, so far. On an
overcast day, it has been really good, and I know of no more unique
place to chase trout, so I'm enjoying the good times, saving other
waters till a little later.
DISCLAIMER: I ain't no frickin expert on this area OR fishing ...but
MY GUESS is that the area will be "right on" at Clave time and this
year will be far better than the last couple have been, overall.
But, pray for more water for the West, we need every damn drop.

The logs are great! PLEASE CONTINUE. The addition of the pictures is
especially nice.
When you posted in the past about only being able to wade certain
waters, these reports clarify that. Hope you find someone that can fix
that knee for ya.
See ya in a few weeks?
