Very true, and well put....I have been fortunate to have known many from that
generation who served in one way or another in WW II, and can't remember one
who seemed interested in a memorial. It was like they knew, as RD stated, what
the true memorial(and an ongoing one it is) was to the sacrifices of their
generation.
