You know, I never post fishing reports without including info on how and
where the fish were caught. Often I go to great lengths makes it clear what
I was doing. This post showed the value of fishing deep with heavy jigs.
It's something almost no-one does any more. The bass fishing public seems
to have fallen in love with the idea that a jig is a target lure to be
flipped to shoreline cover, and nothing else. To me, it's always been a
great tool for feeling my way around deep breaks and finding the spots the
fish live. I know there are guys here who actually soak that stuff up and
try to learn from it. Then there are idiots like you who wouldn't know a
pertinent fact if it came up and slapped you upside the head.
