If you think that just because a News Group is in the "alt.*" hierarchy that there is NO
Charter, you are completely wrong !

While I have not been posting 'alt.fishing' for that long, I have been a UseNet user for
some 15 years !

Some charters are easier to find then others but the vast majority of UseNet News Groups
have either a charter or a FAQ so please do your homework before you make such a blatantly
wrong comment.

Dave,

How about if you put up or shut up. Point us to a charter to this
newgroup. You stated in two seperate posts responding to "ozemail" that
he was in violation of the charter of this newsgroup. You owe him an
apology for your flaming as you are clearly in error as to the existence
of a charter for this group.

I notice you now claim that "most" newsgroups have charters rather than
claiming as in your earlier post that "all" newsgroups have charters.
Point us to some charters of some other "alt" newsgroups as you are so
certain they exist. You owe me an apology if you can't. If you have
been using usenet for 15 years and don't realize that "alt" groups dont
have charters you prove the truth of the adage that "there is no fool
like an old fool."
