Default North West Scotland (Kyle of Lochalsh / Dornie Sea Fishing)

Like this one! Loch Duich is a brilliant shore venue although its maybe a
bit early in the year. Try about a mile from the castle heading east, watch
the boulders at the road side, as my mates will gleefully tell you they slip
occasionally and deposit folk like me in the loch. I can vouch for the fact
that it's deep close in!

Also very snaggy so your spinning / float fishing is a good idea. Pollack
and wrasse will be your main species unless you bottom fish. Try and take
some rag up with you as bait not easy to find unless you travel a bit.

Hope this helps and you enjoy yourself. Some good pubs around as well.

I would suggest a post on one of the fishing forums

I'm off up to North West Scotland, staying in Dornie, next week for
the first time. Does anyone know any good marks in the area worth
trying for some light spinning / float fishing from the shore? I've
had a browse on the internet and can't find much, would really
appreciate some help advice on where to give it a try.

Cheers.

Andrew
