I recalled that the Army map cases in Vietnam were
very similar to the zip locks of today. Discarded ones
and the ones we could barter from the supply sgt.
were used to store cigarettes, matches and toilet paper.
It would keep them dry in the humid weather and even more so inside a
rucksack. It was from that remembrance
that I got the idea from. Glad you all find it favorable :-)
