I can't be arsed with markers etc...I much prefer to put freebies inside a pva
bag along with the hook and lead, then when the bag melts the hookbait is
presented on top of a bed of pellets, groundbait or whatever you like, just be
sure if you're using sweetcorn to dust it in groundbait mix or some other powder
or it will melt through the bag before you've cast it out!
Aslo, carp are sometimes wary of high concentrations of food in this manner so
it's better to spread particles/feeder pellets etc over quite a large area to
get them 'browsing', preferably with your hookbait amidst alll the freebies -
all waters are different so it's better to have a few different approaches.
