What are the benifits in the different hook types. ie. Spade end v's Eyed.

Spades give better presentation at smaller hook sizes 16+. Eyed small hooks
tend to have the hole much too big in relation to the hook, and therefore
poor presentation. I always use a hooktyer for spades on the odd occasion I
use smaller hooks. It does the job so much better than the human eye can,
and only costs a couple of quid.
Eyed are better for anything bigger as you tend to use a higher diameter
line which doesn't whip so well IMHO.. Also a hair rig on a spade would be
incredibly fiddly to knock up on the bank.
