Default Handling Pike

: Down with this sort of thing!!!!
:
: From the rust on the hook It has been there some time, or the angler
in
: question is even more irresponsible using rusty hooks.
: ---------------------------------------------
: The hook was probably not rusty when he used it. In actual fact he
was,
: whether knowingly or not
: being more responsible in using a hook that did rust, rather than a
: stainless
: steel one that would remain in the fishes gullet, or throat for the rest
of
: its life.
:
: I tend to agree. Stainless hooks remain dangerous if lost in a snag too.
: Far better for those who come after if the hook rusts away.
:
Ok agreed.
However what remains was that his methods were irresponsible
And the fact that it was a large single hook on a length of mono might also
suggest that s/he may have been long lining.
