Hello, I`ve just purchased a centre pin of Ebay (Mordex Merlin). Now 1`ve
never used one before. I know that when loading line onto a fixed spool
reel
it has to be done a certain way to avoid line twist. Is there any such
thing
when loading a center pin or do you just wind it straight on.

Wind it on spool to spool, not spilling off the end like a fixed spool.
put the spool on a pencil or something and get someone to hold it for you
putting slight pressure on the spool as you wind it on.
Shimano recomend loading their fixed spool reels this way.
