A size 6 hook? after sharks!!

A size 10 will be a better bet (harder for carp to see them)

Floating bread is a top bait, sweetcorn is anoither good bait

Forget what they say in the mags.

If they see your hook they will spook and leave your bait, It happens to
everybody.

What you are doing in general is ok, but up the feed as they will be coming
off sporning, and will be well hungry
Fish the margins

Sunday I only got 2 out on top, the rest caught were 20cm under the surface
with sweetcorn.

and why go for carp? Catfish are better
