boilie warning

Anglers have been getting medical advice following the outbreak of
sleepless
nights, lack of concentration and in some severe cases anglers have had
their skin erupting with boil like sores and or rashes. There are cases
that
have caused major urinary problems including cancer.
Doctors have finally come up with the answer.
The skin being porous, is absorbing chemicals from some of the boilies at
present on the market, this is causing the symptoms described above.
Apparently the worst cases are from anglers that have ingested these
boilies.
A survey found that anglers using conventional baits like corn, bread ,
etc
have none of the symptoms, whereas anglers using more modern carp baits
are
at extreme risk. It is recommended that where boilies are used they should
be of the home made variety where the contents are controlled.
The question therefore remains, if these are so harmful to humans what
damage are they doing to the fish stocks.

Coarse Fish Protection Society.
Boilies are made from non-hazardous materials, ALL synthetic baits are fully
checked by the preservation society and also the water authority (those who
you have to buy your rod-licence from) There are no boilies on the market at
present that contain any substance likely to cause any threat or side effect
to the supplier, the makers, the retailers, the angler or indeed the fish.
They are made from natural ingredients and contain simple food colourings.
During manufacture they have to be baked in ovens to make them go hard, IF,
and it is a big IF there were any contaminants they would be killed of
during the baking process.
OH!!, by the way, there is no such organisation called "The Coarse Fish
Protection Society" that is recognised by the UK fisheries department for
England,Scotland,Ireland and Wales
