Default Interesting Idea.. was Southern Classic Proposal

But fishin with Moe shouldn't be limited to the guy that afford to be most

Mr. Warren....you know what? I totally agree with you on this, and I'll
withdraw my bid. I was a little too quick there to think that maybe if we
started it close to the going rate for a guide, we could build up a little
pot for the youth group, not thinking that with todays economy, not everyone
could afford the trip, and bid for such an event. I owe you and the others
an apology. I'll still make plans to fish w/Moe one of these days that I'm
down there.

Randy My Brother - I know we've been down this road before. Charity is
great, I'm all for it. But fishin with Moe shouldn't be limited to the

guy
that afford to be most generous. I also feel that charitable donations
should be a private thing, from the heart. Not a public spectacle.

This is just my opinion, I'm not trying to alter Moe's plans in any way.

Warren,

Nobody knows better than me about making it there on a shoestring. I

was
just thinking that if there was a way to make more money for Moe's

church
group than why not explore the possibilities. I was out of the running

after
Charles initial 50.00 bid LOL.. and why not offer some lucky person out
there a chance to fish with the folks that usually attend? I can think

of
no
better time to be had. Pardon the pun but since my first trip to

WI....I'm
hooked!!!!!!

I agree... Lord knows I'm scraping everything I can now just to pay

the
entry fees and motel expenses. I'm hoping that my dad will fill up the

truck
before I sneak it away from him too!

Still, the auction idea is fine with me, but I'm out of the bidding.

:-(
Guess you and I will have to get by on our own skills Warren. ;-)

I think this is getting about who can afford the most cash, and I

think
that
is unfair & not what this get-together is about. Some of us'll be

making
this trip on a shoestring...

Ok so bid away to Moe.. or bid away to Moe on Ebay.

Here is the plan.

Offer this up.

This auction is for two full days of fishing on beautiful Lake
Okechobee(airfare and accomodations not included), but that's not

it.
Winning bidder will be included in the R.O.F.B fishing classic
tournament.( all fishing must be done using artificial lures) If

you
ever
dreamed of fishing in Florida in a tournament then this is your

chance.
Two
great days of fishing and the awards ceramony + dinner. Your first

day
out
fishing will be with legendary Okeechobee guide Moe Conway, this

alone
might
put the recreational angler in first place after day 1!!!! Your

second
day
will be with a drawn partner. A chance to fish with the likes of

Pro
Angler
Warren Wolk or Outdoor Frontiers creator Steve Huber or a variety

of
other
great anglers from around the country. All proceeds from this

auction
to
benefit Buckhead Ridge church youth group

Start the bidding at 200.00, Jerry's initial offering. Maybe there

are
a
few
guys or gals out there that might be willing to shell up some good

clams
to
do this. You could seriously get between 500.00 and a thousand

dollars
as
somebody might want to give this as a Christmas gift. jmo
