Default Todber Manor

I have returned from a very nice week fishing (not the weather) at the
above venue. The above location has 5 lakes containing large carp (all
sorts), tench, nice bream and many other silver fish.

Maximum hook size on all water is barbless size 10 and no carp over 5lb may
be put into a keep net and smaller ones kept in a separate net. A minimum of
42" landing net must be used on all occasions.

The Specimen lake is situated at the top of a slight hill behind the old
farm buildings. It has disabled access, loos and a shower block is being
built for the overnighters to freshen up. If the wind is going to blow it is
here you will get it. It is a 2 acre lake with only 7 pegs. While it
contains 20lb+ and the main being between 12 & 18lb carp, if you just want a
bit of fun, fish soft pellet over a bed of 3mm pellets and you will soon
have a bag full of 1 - 4lb fish. Just be ready for the bigger fish

Park lake aka Snake is a canal style lake 13m wide all the way around a long
thin island in the middle. It contains carp from 8oz and 5lb with the odd
bigger one. Tench to 4lb with loads of skimmers, hybrids, roach, rudd, and a
good chance of a still water barbel to 5lb. A real mixed fishery where I had
masses of fun with soft pellet working well here.

Wadmill or New lake is the biggest and newest of the lakes. It first opened
on 16th of June this year. This is full of carp from 8oz to 10lb+ and bream
from 1 - 7lb and also loads of tench, roach and hybrids. Again soft pellet
worked well here for me again.

They other two lakes (which I never fished) are Top lake and Bottom lake
These two lakes contain much the same as the other lakes.

There is an excellent tackle shop on site and is run by John Candy and his
staff who tend to be the font of all knowledge.

If you fancy staying there, the accommodation is excellent and the fishing
comes in at just £2.50 per day. They are excellent holiday cottages within
reach of local attractions.

When I get around to it I will post some pictures of the place and some
wonderful nets of fish.
