I used to be the NNTP administrator for a major midwestern University
and you're absolutely right about Scott's advice regarding .edu accounts.

And since no one else has mentioned it, I will. It doesn't have to be
Ken reporting it, it could some other asshole G who wants to play
net-nanny. I have no idea how seriously they'd take it, whichever
asshole, stalkee or 'nanny, reported it, but I would guess that they'd
fall on the side of caution, and if they didn't cancel it right away,
you'd be on double secret probation or something...

OTOH, I'm not sure the current round of "Whitetrash Cracker vs. Elite
Unpretentious Urban Asshole," being confined to ROFF, is exactly
cyberstalking...anyone know how school admins feel about
cyberslapfighting...?
