Hi,

I guess the subject says it all. I've been asked by a close friend to
take them fishing, as i haven't really explored many waters in the
area since moving here 4yrs ago, i'm a bit stuck on where to go.

I live in Warwick, the friend in Daventry. I'll more likely drive to
pick them up, so it needs to be somewhere easily getable between say
Coventry and Northampton.

OK, specific requirements - I'm more comfortable on smaller waters -
and in recent years fishing lakes/commercial fisheries. I'm not fond
however of large/deep resevoirs/pits. The water, in order to hook the
friend on fishing, would ideally be something that is relatively easy
to fish.

Ideally, being their first time, I'd like soemthing with open and
relatively even banks rather then somewhere with small pegs - this is
so 1) i can fish along side my friend, and still keep an eye on them,
and 2) to reduce the risk of stumbling as they have had a hip
replacement in the last year, and will in all probably need to be able
to easily get up and move about a bit every so often.

OK, a long list of requirements i know - but if anyone has any useful
suggestions of waters to fish, please feel free.

Thanks
