I bought a couple of packs of these and have tried them out over the
last week. Interesting bait. it's a stick bait -- kind of like a Senko
-- about the same price -- maybe $1 cheaper. But they are very different.

First, if a Senko is a "soft plastic", I would describe the Gulp as a
"Soft rubber" it is heavy and very stiff and comes packaged in a zip
lock bag -- each bait is coated with an oooze slime to keep them soft.

If you fish them, plan on using the bait -- dont take it off and set it
in the sun -- it will dry rock hard -- I suppose like a pork trailer.

Because they are heavier that senkos, they sink faster -- but have some
of the same general motion. They hold up to repeat fish better than the
Senko -- but you have to SET THE HOOK. I did a casual hook set that I
often use with a senko and brought a solid 2 - 3 pound bass all the way
to the boat before he let go of the bait. (I checked and my hook point
was still burried in the Gulp.

I'm not certain if I would buy more -- to replace Senkos -- but I will
use the ones I bought to bet a better feel for them. They may be an
alternative when the wind is up enough to want some extra weight -- but
not want to add a lead to the rig.
