If you're using a size ten, I presume you're going for something
large-ish? - why not use a larger float?...I've used feeder floats which
carry an ounce of method mix and caught fish of two oz which pulled it under
easily.

Your signature is borked, it's supposed to come after two -- and a space,
yours is just two --.....most newsreaders don't recognise it as a signature
and strip it from replies.
toolsoptionssignatures...paste it in there and let OE do it for you!
