How does it work when the camera is out of the water? Try using it out of
the water so you can understand what you are looking at. You may have to
fiddle with the contrast and mirror settings to get a sharp picture. Turn on
and off the night day setting. Use the sunshade, it does wonders and stick
your face right down into it. Holding the cable between your thumb and
fingers and slowly rotating the cable will pan the camera. Do you have the
fin attached to the camera? Slow headway will keep the camera facing
frontways with the fin. Sounds like you tried using the Atlantis in a
dingy, fertile lake. Water clarity is critical, the clearer the better. I
have had nothing but hours of fun using mine. Some of my clients waist too
much time with it and don't fish, makes me nuts! I have used an Aquaview and
it didn't come close to the Atlantis, you have a fine UWC. Give it another
chance! In clearer water!

sticks. It does light up every amoeba in the lake. The camera does not see
a
whole bunch and it's difficult to see which way the camera is actually
facing. It appears that you are looking straight down. I was thinking that
maybe it settles down to the desired depth and faces sideways. It doesn't.
Dave mentioned an attachment that helps with that, but overall I was very
disapointed with it.. Dave could tell you more.
