Default Achor Question

I like the Minnkota crab claw 15 or 18 lb anchors. Something else that
helps it to tie on a mushroom anchor 10 ft up the line from the main anchor.
This helps to keep the line on the bottom and allows the main anchor to dig
in. For that mushroom anchor, 8 or 10lb should be sufficient.

I just bought a used 17' aluminum modified V boat. The boat rig weighs

about
1200 pounds. At times I will want to anchor do some still-fishing. What

type
anchors and ropes should I use for anchoring in up to 25' deep water in

man
made lakes? Right now I am leaning toward 12-15 lb river or navy style
anchors with 3/8" twisted nylon rope. Any suggestions would be

appreciated
