We are off on honeymoon in a couple of weeks boating on the broads

We'd like to do a little fishing while we're there, but having never
fished the broads I have no idea what to expect, can anyone offer
advice?

We don't want to take large amounts of tackle and would prefer to
catch lots of small fish.

First some advice. Get married in the morning. If it doesn't work out, you
won't have wasted all day
On The Broads you can expect anything. Fish off of the bottom to stay away
from the eels. If you fish shallow you are liable to pick up the Roach and
other silver fish, on the other hand you just as likely to find a big old
Pike, so take some forceps and a decent landing net. The are large numbers
of reasonable sized Bream

Heigham. The Broads also has a decent head of Carp, depending where you
actually are try soft pellets on the hook in close, and just off the

bottom,
or go quite shallow.

Take fairly stout floats so you can hold back, line up to 8lb, though I

only
used 4lb line. Bait is up to you mainly and the fish of course.

Look forward to a full report on your return, and to see if the marriage
lasted

Marriage going fine!

The honeymoon was awesome, just 'pootling' around the Broads on the boat was
really relaxing, and the fishing was very good too!!
