Hi,
I have a small boat and plan to go trolling with a 200g paravane I just
bought.
I am quite new to sea fishing. What lures are best for this job?
I have some 3 inch storm shads which look great and swim nice. Are they
suitable?
Should I get some larger 6 inch ones or some spining lures perhaps?

We have had some very big mackerel trolling ten inch sandeel imitations, in
uk waters pollock and bass take them too.

With big lures and large hooks a small paravane may not pull the hooks home
properly. If you get a series of pull-outs you can get a very similar
effect with a -spherical- lead weight which will have enough momentum to set
a large hook.

BTW I will be fishing in the adriatic, so the best I can hope for is a nice
bass or amberjack.

:-)

Cheerio,
