Joys and Disappointments
That is interesting. The problem that I have with the President is that the
centrifical brakes do not stay in place when locked down...after several
casts at least one comes up. The first several times I fished the Senko, I
got very few hits and then I didn't set the hook. I went to a 2/0-4/0 circle
hook rigged wacky style and fished r e a l slow on the bottom moving it
12-18 inches at a time...this works for me and have caught fish each
evening.

It's amazing to me that you would mention Senkos and Pflueger reels
because
those are exactly my choices as well. The only difference is that I'm
very
pleased with my President reel and have been extremely disappointed in
Senkos as I have yet to catch a fish on one. I'll also have to toss a
drop
shot rig into the ring as a major disappointment as well.
To each his (or her) own, I suppose!

As the fishing season continues in central Ohio, I reflect on the joys
and
disappointments. Each year I buy some new items including a rod and reel
and
new lures that I learn about on the internet and this great news group.
I
wonder.what are you most satisfied with and what is your biggest
disappointment?
I will start by saying that I am most satisfied with the results using
Senkos and my biggest disappointment is the Pfluger President reel that
I
purchased. I have used a Curado for several years and this Pfluger is no
comparison.
