I used a #20 BWO Parachute and a #24 cream midge pupa, so it wasn't necessary
to sink to such vaguely unethical levels ;-)

I had a most enjoyable afternoon fishing with you, Gary and George, on the
closest thing to a spring creek MA has to offer. Thanks for showing me a
fabled 'secret spot' - especially a nicely cool spot to stay out of the heat
of a toasty July afternoon. Sure glad we beat the crowds to the river - I bet
2nd shift was packed.

Special thanks to Tim for the "Camaraderie Beer", smoked salmon, cheese and
crackers. Nice touch!

The usual roffian retreat for burgers 'n' beer is not much of an option out
there. There's not a decent burger joint around for miles. You can thank
riverman for the salmon idea - when I saw it at the provision supply depot
(liquor store), I just *had* to buy it.

It was nice having the place all to ourselves most of the afternoon. I'm up for
doing that again whenever any of you can make it. After many, MANY years of
working at the same place, I'm able to have a flexible schedule and can get away
on very short notice. I know Stan wanted to be out there, but duty was calling
his name. Since he's well on his way to becoming a million. . . no, BILLIONaire,
hopefully he can blow them off next time and join us.

BTW, very happy ending on the tire blow out: I went to the tire store at which
my son works and left the car for tires. When I came back to pick it up, my son
said my money was no good there and that he had already bought them for me. He
went on to say that after all I had done for him, it was the least he could do.
It made me feel all warm and squishy inside. Sometimes these "kids" really
surprise a guy.
