Hi all,

Went down to the little lake next to my home Sat to wet a line.

Threw a white spinnerbait a few times and decided to fish a small inlet I
had not fished before.

I threw once and about 10 feet from shore...WHAM!...almost lost my rod. No
jump, durn, must be a cat...sure enuf, about 10 minutes later a 26"
flathead
cat emerged. Reached dowm w/ needlenose pliers and quickly lifted him/her
out to show to the kids. Must have weighed 10 or 12 lbs...had 12 lb test
mono on. Well, after asking/joking w/ the kids to see if they wanted it in
their pool or no it went back to the lake where it sat still for almost 5
minutes recovering, and then splashed off.

Question: Do any of you guys have cats that slam your baits on ocassion?

This is the 7th or 8th I have caught in the last 3 years while bass
fishing
with artificials.
