what in your opinion would be the top twenty bass lakes in north America?
#1 - Chequomegon Bay (Wisconsin) The smallmouth fishing is fantastic. They've been managing this
water for trophy smallies and you're allowed 1 over 22 inches.
#2 - Turtle Flambeau Flowage (Wisconsin) More fantastic smallmouth fishing. A stump/rock filled,
boat eating monster though.
#3 - Lake Okeechobee (Florida) It's the Big O! What more can be said about it?
#4 - Stick Marsh (Florida) Managed for trophy largemouth, it's catch and release only. I've seen
some real monsters caught there.
#5 - Lake of the Woods (Minnesota/Ontario border) With good populations of smallmouth, and scenery
that is world class, who wouldn't want to fish there?
#6 - Lake Erie (Ohio/Michigan) Tremendous populations of lunker smallmouth
#7 - Dale Hollow Res (Kentucky/Tennessee) Home of two world record smallmouth bass, how can DH be
overlooked?
You will notice that I didn't add Boom Lake to the list. It seems that some people have problems
with this lake.
These are the only ones that I've had first hand experience with. I'm certain that others will have
more to add to the list.
